Glacio's Project Challenges
We were tasked with a project from Glacio, which was faced with the challenge of user confusion around their products, particularly their sphere ice molds. The project also had an ambitious timeline, and the company had a limited amount of existing assets. Additionally, we faced minor setbacks with the subcontracted video production, which required us to perform additional editing and grading.
My Project Responsibilities
As the project lead, my responsibility was to guide the team through a thorough analysis of Glacio's brand, products, business model, and target audience. This included brainstorming sessions to conceptualize the rebranding strategy, which involved logo redesign concepts, website design, packaging, video production, and 3D modeling. I also needed to ensure that the client's vision and goals were at the forefront of our decisions and maintain constant communication with them.
Action
I spearheaded the brainstorming sessions and proposed the use of 3D-generated content for a dynamic and cost-effective showcase of their product line on the website. I developed a new logo design to encapsulate Glacio's brand ethos and a user-friendly website design with clear product categorizations. I created photorealistic 3D models of each product and designed unique, eye-catching packaging for each SKU.
To reduce user confusion, I developed clear instructions and intuitive iconography for each product, which were user-tested both internally and with a small focus group to ensure their clarity. During the execution stage, I personally oversaw the video production and editing, ensuring the final assets accurately represented the products and their uses.
Project Outcomes
The implemented solutions led to an increase in sales within the first three months of the website's launch. The rebranding, along with clear packaging instructions, significantly reduced user confusion, resulting in fewer complaints. The client was incredibly satisfied with the transformation, which not only boosted their sales but also allowed them to expand their product line and extend their brand beyond ice molds. We managed to deliver this comprehensive project on time and under budget, proving our team's dedication and effective collaboration.
